Many recreational football teams do not have any structure that unites its players. As such the players’ responsibility & accountability to their team is rather superficial.

9’ner is the title accorded to players who have completed this program. You will be required to attend at least 9 training sessions, completed a series of theory and practical tests, displayed a commendable level of team-play during trials with a watch-in-brief by a coaching staff and passed a personality check by the committee.

9’ners are deemed to have transformed from a “void-deck-kick-about-player” to one who is committed to the team’s ethos and playing philosophy.

Notably, 9’ner satisfies the membership constitution of Schwarz Star Football Club as a registered society.

Players who have achieved the 9′ners must wear the red wrist bands during all matches.
